Themes, Tracks and Special Features

There will be three overarching themes at CHARGE 2019 – Branding, Green and Innovation. The tracks within each theme are distributed across the two days and each track will have 4-5 short presentations followed by a panel discussion. The special features of the programme are meant to break up the format and give deeper insights into specific topics.

Theme One

Branding

The branding tracks will offer hands-on experience, in-depth knowledge and guided workshops to provide participants with valuable items for their professional toolboxes and inspiration to achieve higher brand value.


Theme Two

Innovation

We have the smart home talking to us, cars driving for us and blockchain doing its part. But beyond the buzzwords are new emerging technologies and new innovative uses of current technologies. Find out how innovation will shape the energy brand.


Theme Three

Green

The green tracks will be a platform of discussion on all things green. New energy sources, electric vehicles, sustainable solutions and behavioural change. What is the difference between sustainable and green and does it make a difference in the customer’s mind? We will find out.

Building Blocks

Awareness is the foundation of any brand but brands need to fulfill both the rational and emotional needs of their customers to be able to resonate with them. The audience will learn from experts and practitioners how a brand reaches higher with the brand building blocks.


Innovation

Disruptive Innovation

The energy space is open for new possibilities. This track will focus specifically on new ways of customer engagement and communication that are likely to change business models and put late adaptors out of business.

Electric Transport

The electric car is proving itself to be more than a novelty product. But leaps forward in technology are making electricity in aviation and maritime a not-so distant possibility. We will learn about the possibilities of electricity in transportation in a wider sense.

CO2 Free Societies

Countries or societies that have in motion plans to go carbon free. How does that affect their brand and what benefits come from that positioning?

Creative Energy

Adopting and implementing green and sustainable solutions will require creative thinking. Not only on the implementation side but on the end-user side as well. We will get input from the design world on how to make sustainability approachable and appealing to the consumer.

The Millennial Brand

The millennials have not only entered the job market and become consumers – they have also founded businesses and are starting to shape the world. Learn what the millennial consumer expects and how the generation is shaping their businesses and envisioning tomorrow.

THE SPECIAL FEATURES ARE SLOTS THAT BREAK UP THE SPEAKERS-PANEL FORMAT. IT BRINGS MORE DEPTH AND FOCUSED PERSPECTIVES TO THE NARRATIVE OF THE CONFERENCE.

Branding Workshop

A workshop hosted by an expert in the topic covered. The purpose of the workshop is to give participants valuable tools to bring back to their day-to-day operations.

Focus Presentation

In-depth presentations on a specific subject. The speaker will have the stage alone for 30 minutes. The speakers in these slots will be thought-leaders worldwide on their topic or approach. Highly qualitfied and experienced speakers that will get special promotion for the conference.

Energy Stories

The story segments will be spread out throughout the agenda. One storyteller on stage to give insights on their brand. People connect to stories and every brand has a story to tell. It can be stories of origins, failures, Eureka! moments, happy accidents or success.

Energy Legends

The Energy Legends panels invites individuals that foresaw how the energy space would change and acted on it. They will share how they identified impending change in the past and how they see the industry change in the close future. The discussion will be led by a moderator active in leading the change in the energy sector today.

World’s Best Energy Brand

This is a Q&A session. The winners of the CHARGE Awards will go on stage to share their opinion on how they have built and maintained a successful energy brand.


Afternoon & Evening

YOU WILL HAVE A LOT OF FUN DURING THE DAY BUT WE PROMISE EVEN MORE FUN DURING THE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS WHEN THE PROGRAM CONTINUES OUTSIDE THE CONFERENCE HALL.
